This is it my friends.

Today is the dreaded day of my dental surgery!

Yesterday, we went to the pet hospital to get some blood work done in preparation for the surgery. I was a very brave cat and Dr Young said she was very proud of me. I like Dr Young, she’s always very nice and she scratches me behind my ears, which I like.

If only the place didn’t have that awful scent of fear and other things I don’t quite recognize…

But it all went well today and soon we were back home.

My human gave me a nice treat for being such a good cat!

So, I hope it all goes well.  I have to admit that after reading that post from Leader Otis I’m a little concerned.  Hopefully they’ll be able to get dog infection out of me, if that’s what I have.

I walked into the living room this morning to find Brother Oliver laying on the floor in a semi-catatonic state. I asked him what was wrong and he said, “Leader Otis! I…I can’t believe what I just heard the Guardians say! I think Thomas was infected with dog!”

I was shocked by Brother Oliver’s statement. Why would he think that Thomas had a dog infection? I asked him to tell me everything he had heard. Brother Oliver said, “I walked into the room earlier and the Guardians were saying that it was time for them to go up to Valhalla to check on Thomas. One of them said, ‘Don’t forget his pain meds. His infection is gone, but he’s still pretty sore from having his canine extracted.’ I couldn’t believe it! Thomas had been infected with canine and they had to extract it? No wonder he was at…

News. The good kind and the bad kind

Hello friends. I miss you all terribly. Hope you all are having a GREAT summer so far.

The reason the kid and I have been MIA for a while is that our human hasn’t been feeling well. Something to do with our human brother.

The kid and I have been taking good care of our human, though. Making sure she gets a lot of cuddles and purrs from us. I’ve even been playing a lot with the kid cause that seems to make my human happy. I let her chase me and then I chase her back until I see my human smile. And I gotta admit I even enjoy the exercise. It is a bit rejuvenating. But what I enjoy the most is the smile on my human’s face. She hasn’t been smiling much lately.

Now, my human and I finally made a decision on my dental surgery. We’re going for the canine extraction. Many thanks to all of you for your valuable advice both here and on my human’s blog. We are very grateful!

I have to go in on Monday afternoon for a blood test and then again on Tuesday morning for the surgery. I am not very happy about that but I guess it’ll be nice when it’s all over and I’m not in pain anymore.

Well, friends, my human brother is gone.

He left earlier than expected and my human is sad about that.  And when my human is sad, I am sad so I’m making sure I give her more cuddles and purrs than usual.

Other than that, not much else is new.

Except that the kid is now freely “wunning” like a mad kitten all over the place all the time. Sure, we had a lot of fun running over the humans the other night. That took me back to days of yore when I was a kitten myself.

But then she wants to chase my tail every time I go for my daily constitutional so every now and then I give her a good old fashioned hiss for good measure. I mean, the kid needs to learn to respect her elders, right?

My human brother

So, I had forgotten I had a human brother.  Some of you might remember I live with my human mother and my human sister.  And of late, I also have a little cat sister but we’re not sharing living quarters… yet.

Well, a loooooong time ago, my human brother used to live with us.  Then he finished high school and he moved back to my human’s country of origin to attend university there.  That was five years ago.

Well, he’s back in Canada for a little visit – the first in five years, so naturally, we’re spending a lot of time with him.  Hence, the radio silence from all of us.

So, please forgive me if I haven’t visited your blogs lately.  We will go back to regular schedule once he’s gone (although my human wishes he would stay forever with us).

You know, the brave little kitten who lost her battle with panleukemia?

Well, we all know she’s happy playing with many friends at the rainbow bridge but her human is still stuck with the vet bill.

You can see pictures of the invoice on the Cats of Parliament Hill Facebook group.

They have raised $1070 so far (I know some of you donated already!! <3) so if you can help a little, that’d be great.  Perhaps your financial situation is better this month?  My human already donated.  We would donate more but as you know, we’re saving for my tooth extraction.

So the kid went to see the vet yesterday. Gotta feel bad for her, she was all excited about the “adventuwe”. Bet she’s not so excited now. I hear she put up a good fight when the vet tried to look at her teeth and ears.

Anyway, she got her own kickeroo to play with.

Good, now she will leave mine alone!
