On a lighter note, I give you…
The little ball of fur!
(a.k.a. Little Satchie)
The human and I are finally getting around processing all the footage we have. I -of course, am helping with the song choices!
Getting all caught up with your wonderful blogs is proving an overwhelming task. It’s gonna take a me long time and most likely I won’t be able to read all the posts I missed so I apologize if I don’t manage to read all of yours. It is not on purpose, I promise.
And on top of that, we had a momentous event over the weekend. It hit us all like a tornado as we were not expecting it so soon.
Some of you have commented how big Satchie is now. She’ll be 5 months old this week.
Well, our Satchie -while still being technically a kitten, is definitely not little anymore. I did notice that she was acting a bit different – weird, if I may say so, but it was mostly my human’s face that told me something was wrong. Well, not wrong, but not quite right.
From what I gathered, Satchie has started her estrus cycle whatever that means, and now they are talking about surgery and stuff. I just feel bad for the kid. The word surgery is an ominous one. Nothing good can come out of it!
She’s doing much better today. Not crying anymore. I felt so bad for her. She was crying so much yesterday like she was in pain. We played for a while but I’m an old mancat and she’s the Energizer bunny so I can’t keep up with her.
So I can finally use the laptop. Jeez, it’s getting difficult to get laptop time around here!
Hope your summer has been good. I missed you all and I’ll try to catch up with your lovely blogs as soon as possible. I can only imagine the adventures you’ve been having.
The kid’s getting really big and she’s starting to settle down a bit. She’s coming to visit on a regular basis and she even stays overnight sometimes so we’re happy. She even came to stay with me when the human was gone so I wouldn’t be so lonely.
Don’t get me wrong, she’s still crazy as heck. But at least she’s starting to take longer naps so we can actually have a snooze together. She’s also leaving my tail alone. Well, most of the time. Yesterday I was napping in my tent when she decided it was time to play and jumped on top of the tent to wake me up. I wasn’t impressed.
She’s here with us today and the human this picture of her. She was playing with my human sister and all of a sudden she decided she wanted to be a monkey!
So, that’s it for now. Will be visiting your blogs this weekend
Well, friends, my human brother is gone.
He left earlier than expected and my human is sad about that. And when my human is sad, I am sad so I’m making sure I give her more cuddles and purrs than usual.
Other than that, not much else is new.
Except that the kid is now freely “wunning” like a mad kitten all over the place all the time. Sure, we had a lot of fun running over the humans the other night. That took me back to days of yore when I was a kitten myself.
But then she wants to chase my tail every time I go for my daily constitutional so every now and then I give her a good old fashioned hiss for good measure. I mean, the kid needs to learn to respect her elders, right?
First, we learned I need surgery for my fractured canine
Then there was the news about Zoe. I’m still heartbroken and it’ll take me a while to get over it.
Then I found out that the kid is not a boy BUT A GIRL! So I don’t have a little brother but a little sister. Well, that shouldn’t change things that much but I have to say I am very much warming up to the idea of a little brat sister running around.
I think I’m just gonna have to take another nap just to digest all the news.
And speaking of the kid, she came for a visit last night. It didn’t go too bad.
